SNEADE’S ACE HOME CENTERS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CHILREN’S NATIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Ace Hardware launches Ace Cares for Kids Campaign

 

Owings, MD, July 1, 2014– Sneade’s Ace Home Center is helping make miracles happen in Owings, MD and Lusby, MD for Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, DC its local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) member. From July 1-13, Sneade’s Ace Home Center will participate in the Ace Cares for Kids Icon Campaign, an in-store initiative where customers can purchase a CMN Hospitals icon for a donation of one dollar or more at point-of-sale. One hundred percent of funds raised through this campaign will stay local, benefitting Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

“At Sneade’s Ace Home Center we’re committed to being the helpful place in Calvert County and part of that is our commitment to giving back to the community we serve,” said Dana Sneade Banyasz, Director of Business Operations at Sneade’s Ace Home Center.

“We’re proud to help make miracles happen for children in need, while at the same time providing customers with engaging fundraising opportunities.

Bringing the campaign to life is Ace’s second annual All-Star, Aiden Morales. 10-year-old Aiden isthe face of Ace’s 2014 Ace Cares for Kids Campaign. Aiden was born with a heart defect called tricuspid atresia requiring numerous operations, including the first surgery when Aiden was just six months old. He has since undergone four surgeries, including an operation to give him a pacemaker.

Aiden’s image and story will be featured in hundreds of Ace Hardware stores across the nationthis July.
