OUTDOOR INSPIRATION

Dream big or dream small, but take your creativity outside and build special spaces.  Here are a couple of "scenes" you can create in your own pation, porch or yard...with a little help from the folks at Sneade's Ace Home Center.

Watch the world go by....Nothing says relaxation as much as sitting on your own front porch greeting the neighbors as they go by.  Use an outdoor rug, plants and furniture to create that perfect spot.  A classic look calls for wicker.  Modern tastes will love warm wood tones with comfy cushions.  Whatever your taste, don't forget the porch swing.

A quiet spot for two...Create an intimate spot for enjoying tea and scones or reading the morning newspaper.  In a small corner or under a tree, install some bricks or pavers and add a cozy bistro set.  Ours is wrought iron with the insets.  Add a colorful porcelain pot filled with impatiens to brighten your retreat.

A supper that sparkles...A quiet corner on your deck is a perfect spot for supper, thanks to a wrought iron table big enough for four, comfy chairs and an umbrella for shade.  Add candles, cushions...and enjoy.

Outdor chef....Cook up delicious meals in an outdoor kitchen that's simple orextravagant.  Start with some space - near the kitchen door is handy, but no under a porch roof or a tree.  If you're using a charcoal grill.  A flat surface is best, but you can choose any level area in the yard.  Add a bargeque grill and a wheeled cooler.  Spice it up with accessories, like a grill light and some handy utensils.

Cool at night... Whats better than relaxing outside on a cool evening with friends or family?  Gather your classic Adirondack chairs around a fire pit for warmth, light and toasted marshmallows!

Taking it easy....Need to get away from it all?  Got two trees?  Add a rope hammock for Sunday afternoon naps.  If you don't have correctly positioned trees, you can always choose a hammock that comes with a stand.  Pillows are optional, but recommended.
